We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented radiologic technologist to be responsible for operating imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes.
Under the direction of the Director of Operations, assesses patients develop optimal radiologic techniques or plans, and evaluate resulting radiographic images.
The radiologic technologist's responsibilities include following physicians' orders regarding the area of the body to scan, positioning patients and equipment, and answering patients' questions.
The radiologic technologist will use imaging equipment to capture images of tissues, bones, organs, and vessels, and may assist in the administration of radiation therapy treatments or radiopharmaceuticals.
To be a successful radiologic technologist, you should be compassionate and have good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with patients.
You should have good technical and analytical skills. Radiologic Technologists will strive to continually improve patient satisfaction and exceed expectations for service.
Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities :
Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
Reviews and executes physician and mid-level orders for radiographic services; clarifying instructions if unclear or the patient is unable to comply.
Courteously receives patients and clearly communicates tests to be done as well as patient position needed in order to obtain the image.
Reviews images prior to patient departure to ensure quality.
Conducts quality control on x-ray equipment and maintains logs.
Responds to all regulatory inquiries and inspections in conjunction with the CEO.
Attends staff meetings and provides constructive ideas to improve the quality of treatment, patient education, and efficiency of the clinic.
Contributes to the safe environment of patients and staff including notifying persons if equipment needs to be repaired or is broken, utilizing personal protective equipment, and good infection control practices.
Maintains current state of Georgia license.
Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Maintains collaborative working relationships with all other employees.
Upholds the strictest confidentiality.
Radiologic Technologist Requirements :
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in radiology.
- A license to practice radiography.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion.
- Good mathematical abilities and technical skills.
- Good organizational, time management, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
- The ability to lift heavy weights without assistance.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided by the practice and must be worn when there is a reasonable risk of occupational exposure to blood or body fluids.
