Survey Crew Chief

We are partnered with a reputable multidisciplinary firm that's seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead their field survey teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, in-depth knowledge of surveying techniques, and a commitment to accuracy and safety in all field operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and supervise survey crews during field operations to ensure efficient and accurate data collection.

Interpret and understand survey plans, maps, and specifications.

Operate and oversee the use of surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, levels, and drones.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies on all job sites.

Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during surveying activities.

Maintain accurate records, prepare field notes, and submit reports as required.

Train and mentor junior survey staff.

Qualifications :

Proven experience as a Survey Crew Chief or similar role in the surveying or civil engineering industry.

Proficient with surveying instruments and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS equipment).

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., LSIT, PLS) preferred.
