Description :

General comments about the unit include a total of 12 beds plus 6 in the hallway.

There are 16 staff members in total.

The unit has a charge / manager on day shift and a charge on night shift.

During day shift, there are 3 nurses and a sitter / tech PRN, while there are 2 nurses and a sitter / tech PRN on night shift.

The patient ratio is 1 : 4 nurse to patient.

Equipment used includes central monitors, bedside ultrasound, and non-invasive CVP monitors.

The EMR system in use is Meditech.

Typical hiring profiles focus on travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters.

Preferred certifications are TNCC, trauma certification, CEN, and ENPC.

Typical procedures performed include IVs, EKGs, routine sedation, and ortho reduction, though ortho reduction is rare.

The ideal candidate should have a team-oriented, friendly demeanor with a strong focus on patient experience.
