Overview
The YMCA of Greater Richmond is looking for a positive, enthusiastic full-time Youth Development Site Coordinator to plan programming, oversee center management and supervise pre-k children for our before and after-school child care program at the Chester Early Childhood Learning Academy.
Responsibilities
- Program planning and administration, supervision of pre-k aged children, and day-to-day operations of the child care center.
- Interact and build relationships with children and families; facilitate positive communications between the Y, program participants and school officials.
- Supervise on-site staff; design, plan and implement age-appropriate developmental activities and programs.
- Ensure that child care licensing standards and association quality standards are adhered to; maintain and monitor site and equipment.
- Attend and lead child care trainings.
Qualifications
Experience with supervising staff, budgeting and program administration.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.A valid driver\'s license and a good driving record.Candidates must meet Virginia DOE licensing requirements : college-level coursework in a related field or CDA required.Minimum age is 21.Candidates must be responsible, enthusiastic, and able to direct children and staff in a positive way.Experience in leading groups of youth.Salary
Starting salary is $43,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
