Security Officer Job at Morristown Medical Center

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Security Officer for the Security Department at Morristown Medical Center. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including days, weekends, and holidays. The candidate must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for at least 4 hours at a time. Proficiency with computers, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with the department's computer system are essential. The candidate must engage with patients, visitors, and staff, and will be exposed to bio-hazards such as blood, vomit, saliva, and urine. The candidate will be required to pass an N95 Fit Test and be able to wear an N95 or surgical mask for short and extended periods of time. The candidate will also be required to pass an AHS approved physical control tactics course.

Minimum Education : High School Graduate or equivalent.

Minimum Experience : Prior law enforcement, fire service or EMS, or behavioral health experience highly preferred. Former military, reserve military, and law enforcement candidates preferred. Thorough background checks conducted. Ability to write detailed reports and strong verbal skills are essential.

Licenses / Certifications : Valid Driver's License with a clean record is required. Associate or bachelor's Degree is preferred. High School Diploma plus military, law enforcement, fire service, emergency medical service, or security experience will be considered in lieu of an associate's degree.
