Dental Billing Specialist

Florida OMFS is seeking an experienced Dental Biller to join our growing practice. This role would not have patient interaction. The person in this role's focus would be supporting their team members through tasks like billing and aging.

• Work Hours 7:45 am-4:30 pm- with a one-hour lunch; Monday-Thursday. On Fridays, we work 7:45-3:00.

Responsibilities:

• Partners with the Office team to adequately file insurance claims.
• Verifying the patient's health insurance benefits.
• Explaining insurance benefits to patients.
• Entering data using dental practice software.
• Generating reports for all activities.
• Posting payments made by patients and insurance companies.
• Following up on non-paid insurance claims.
• Managing late payments and overdue accounts.
• Run Statements
• Uploading completed insurance verification forms.
• Monitoring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to confirm payment from clients and insurance companies.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and professional work area.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Education Level: High School, diploma, or GED
• Job Related/Industry Experience: 1-3 years in dental billing, insurance verification, or similar experience.
• OMS Vision or oral surgery knowledge is a plus
• Background Check Required
• This role is 100% onsite in Tampa, FL. There is no flexibility for a hybrid/remote role.
