Job Summary
This position provides comprehensive administrative support to the CAO, Chair of the department, principal investigators, and their labs. They will be the initial point of contact for the department and serve as onsite liaison for visitors, invited guests and new employees. They will work with faculty and lab members to submit reimbursements, the CAO and Chair to facilitate department events and seminars, schedule and execute meetings, and maintain calendars, conferences rooms, etc. Other administrative tasks are, including but not limited to UCPath transactions, financial journals, PCMA case support, Bearbuy purchasing, CTB website updates, emergency action plan updates, department communications (listserv and social media accounts), and special projects as assigned.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $29.05 - $53.50 (Hourly Rate).

Department Description
The Department of Cell and Tissue Biology (CTB) is a basic science department within the School of Dentistry. The department was established in 2005 and includes 15 faculty with primary appointments and five faculty with secondary appointments. Additionally, the department is home to numerous postdoctoral fellows as well as graduate students in programs ranging from Biomedical Sciences, Tetrad and Biophysics to Developmental & Stem Cell Biology and Oral & Craniofacial Sciences. Faculty research interests include cell biology mechanisms relevant to cytoskeletal dynamics, development, metabolism, cancer, immunology and neurobiology.
