Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, position is responsible for providing inventory control and procurement of non-stock materials.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the City's policies and applicable law. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Responsibilities and reporting during an emergency situation : Essential employees may be required to work during a declared emergency. Depending on the nature of the emergency, this may require working around the clock for several days on short notice. Non-essential employees will not be required to work during a declared emergency. The employee's department head will determine when the employee will be required to work.

Duties / Responsibilities :
Responsible for daily operations of the warehouse.Perform periodic (including required annual) physical inventories.Participate / coordinate audit related warehouse activities.Assist operations & public works divisions with the administration / data entry of the city's utilities computerized maintenance management system work order database (CMMS).Responsible for maintaining computerized inventory in the city's ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) system.Responsible for development and preparation of various monthly and quarterly reports.Responsible for ordering materials, small tools and equipment; coordinate with the purchasing department to formulate bid specifications.Provide back-up support for dispatcher / administrative assistant functions and warehouse clerk duties, as required.May be required to drive a motor vehicle to accomplish tasks.This position requires regular and reliable attendance and the employee's physical presence at the workplace.Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, skills, and abilities :
Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to operate necessary equipment, including computer, typewriter, telephone, fax, copier, printer, radio, and city vehicle.Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.Ability to operate a forklift.Ability to maintain effective working relationships.Minimum requirements :
High school diploma or GED.Three years of experience in computerized inventory control / purchasing system or related field.Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Preferred qualifications :

Work environment :
