Job description

Director Of Sales

Milacron is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and performance-driven Director of Sales to lead our North American sales efforts in the plastic extrusion industry. This individual will be responsible for executing the company's sales vision, managing customer relationships, and growing market share in targeted industries such as construction, medical, and wire / cable.

As a key member of the extrusion leadership team, the Director of Sales will play a central role in driving revenue growth and positioning our extrusion systems as the preferred solution for pipe, profile and other processors in North America.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive N American sales strategy to achieve company revenue goals in the plastic extrusion market.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing sales team.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across key verticals including pipe & profile, fiber, and custom extrusion.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product Development, and Marketing to align offerings with customer needs and industry trends.
  • Oversee complex capital equipment sales cyclesfrom lead generation through proposal, negotiation, and post-sale support.
  • Manage pricing strategies, margin targets, and contract terms in alignment with company objectives.
  • Analyze market dynamics, customer data, and competitor activity to guide decision-making and strategy.
  • Represent the company at major trade shows, technical conferences, and industry associations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field; MBA or technical master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in capital equipment
  • Strong understanding of extrusion processes such as PVC pipe, PO pipe, profile, compounding, and sheet extrusion.
  • Demonstrated success in managing long, consultative sales cycles and closing multi-million-dollar deals.
  • Deep industry network and reputation within plastics processing markets is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 60%).
  • Preferred Experience :

  • Experience selling machinery such as extruders, dies, downstream equipment, or complete extrusion lines.
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce).
  • Multilingual capabilities are a plus (especially Spanish).
