My name is Carlos Portillo and I'm a pharmacy technician, a pharmacy technician receives prescriptions from the physicians and sometimes they're life saving medications or sometimes they're maintenance medications.

The pharmacist prints out an order for us and they give it to the technicians to make. And then after that is completed, we send it out and give it to the nurse to be administered to the patient.

I believe human kindness is when you put others before yourself. My mom's a nurse. So ever since I was a young boy, my mom always told me that if you want to leave your footprint on this earth, help people and for us it's healthcare.

So my mom has always put that in my mind that help people help people. It makes me feel good to know that my contributions help family members and help people in need at this hospital.

I, I always liked the dynamic that they brought here. Just we're family oriented. We're, we're a team and really patient safety is always our standard.

And that's what I like about it. I like that. You know what if I have a family member that needs to come here I'm comfortable with that because I know that they got people like me and my team doing our best to help.
