Radiology Tech, CT

Reporting to the Manager of Radiology this position provides health care services, applying x-ray energy, computer processing or pulsed radiofrequency waves and magnetic energy to assist in diagnoses or treatment; performs related procedures producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner while exercising professional judgment in performance of services, and applies appropriate patient care recognizing patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE :

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES :

• Current certification by the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists (ARRT) required within 6 months of hire.
• a) ARRT CT if working in CT
• Current CPR certification required.
• Certification by the State of California (CRT) required.
• Certification by the State of California in Fluoroscopy required.
• Certification by the State of California (CRT) mammography required if working in that area.
• Certificate of venipuncture for contrast media injection required within 6- months of hire if establishing new IV access for the purpose of contrast injection.
