Our north star at W-S is to create the right products / projects to excite the next generation of top designers and athletes to come work with us. Working on collaborative and non-collaborative projects and drive edge and innovation for Nike design. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON Youll be trail blazing the future of Nike Footwear Design. Implementing our next technological breakthroughs with cultural relevancy. Working closely with external collaborators and internal teams, youll craft footwear that will ignite future opportunities for our in-line teams. From concept to execution, youll shape every detail to inspire and elevate the future of footwear. The work is highly demanding but as much rewarding. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH Youll collaborate with some of the most creative and innovative minds, external partners, internal designers, developers, product managers, and engineers. Bringing fresh ideas to life from brief to market. You lead conversations that push boundaries. As a key voice in the creative process, youll inspire both teams and communities, championing innovation at every step. You will report to the Design Director of Energy White Space. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training 8 plus years experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products preferred Knowledge of form, color, materials, human factors, related to elevating the consumer experience Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives Experience in technical footwear design Strong Photoshop, Illustrator skills Must be able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs) Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus AI and 3D design programs experience is a plus Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials Experienced with presentation programs : Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc. Positive personality and energy Contribute and align to shared team culture and behaviors Catalyst to make connections with other Design groups Lead drive partnerships beyond the Design function (Marketing, Engineering, Development, etc.) Motivated and hardworking about bringing others along We offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed.
