Job description

At Lekker Home, we believe that good design makes life better. We’re a luxury furniture and décor retailer where you’ll find everything from European design icons to emerging artists and makers who are creating a new generation of originals. Based in Boston’s South End, our showroom features endless design inspiration and is home to our tight-knit team.

Do you have a passion for interior design and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service? As an Interior Design Consultant at Lekker Home, you’ll have the opportunity to work with top modern furniture and décor brands, while helping clients create spaces they love. We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team, servicing clients in both the A+D Trade (Architecture & Design) and residential sectors.

In this role, you will focus on building and maintaining client relationships, promoting our product portfolio, and driving sales within the interior design and architecture community, playing a key role in meeting our sales targets and contributing to the overall growth of the company. This role reports to the Sales Manager and collaborates closely with the entire Sales Team.

This is an on-premise position based at our showroom in Boston’s South End.

  • Work with clients to understand project requirements and provide accurate, timely quotations.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling various payment methods such as cash and credit cards.
  • Present our products to both design professionals and residential clients, highlighting features, quality, and suitability for different projects.
  • Collaborate with the design community to understand their needs, provide product recommendations, and offer tailored solutions.
  • Work closely with other sales team members to develop and execute targeted marketing strategies and initiatives aimed at reaching interior designers and architects.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, design projects, and events to identify potential customers and sales opportunities.
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities to connect with interior designers and architects, while promoting our A+D Trade Program.
  • Showroom Operations

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and project leads.
  • Keep the showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing, ensuring all products are properly labeled and displayed.
  • Assist with general showroom operations, including packing, shipping, and participating in quarterly inventories.
  • Additional Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with design software, such as AutoCAD or 3D modeling tools, is a plus.
