Responsibilities

Industrialization Leader

• Manage the technical development of a product from conception to production.
• Utilize core tools such as PFMEA, DFMA, control plans, etc.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, tooling and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes. May develop new tools as needed.
• Review and approve or reject engineering drawings in accordance with internal DFM guidelines and requirements. Propose changes and updates to DFM guidelines.
• Create and maintain detailed work instructions.
• Ensure design and process are sufficient to produce the quality of product required by internal and external standards. Support related improvements and projects.
• Support production areas, fabrication and final assembly, when new product is being launched to quickly address and correct any issues that may arise.
• Determine root causes of failures or production problems and recommend changes to designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
• Design and develop the process as necessary to produce the product at the volume and quality required.
• Keep up to date with relevant technological advances and support implementation of new processes and machines.
• Attend design reviews and provide relevant feedback for manufacturability.
• Support engineering as necessary through development phase (collaboration, drawing review, etc.).

Qualifications

B.S degree in a related technical field (e.g., Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer / Technology, Aeronautics Engineer, or Electrical Engineer) or an Associate degree with 6 years related experience or 12 years of job related experience.

Three years of manufacturing experience required in a Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer or related Engineering capacity. Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred. Catia V.5 or design modeling a plus.

Must have basic knowledge of production methods, process capabilities, tooling processes, and manufacturing processes; able to prepare well-written reports; knowledge of manufacturing and related operations; Lean Manufacturing principles preferred; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and OS; ability to generate written communication; ability to read and review written communication; English communication skills.

Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, maintain an organized workspace, and approach problems analytically and creatively.

APQP, D&PFMEA, Control Plan; CATIA V.5, CAD Modeling experience; Problem Solving.
