Since our founding in 1995, we’ve expanded to offer over 360 high-quality online educational courses, a suite of integrated web and mobile applications, and resources tailored to ensure outdoor enthusiasts recreate safely and successfully.  We believe in making data central to our decisions — from improving engagement to optimizing marketing, product effectiveness, and business growth.

To help us scale that, we’re looking for a strategic leader who will shape our analytics & insights direction, ensuring insights are timely, accurate, and actionable.  You must reside in one of these US states :

• AZ, CO, FL, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NV, OR, PA, RI, TX, VA, VT, WI or one of these provinces in Canada : Ontario What You’ll Do : Define and lead the Analytics vision and roadmap, aligning closely with company strategy, OKRs, and growth goals.  Build, manage, and mentor a small but high-performing team of Data Analysts.  Partner cross-functionally (Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance) to identify key metrics, design experiments (A / B testing, user cohorts, funnels), and surface actionable insights.  Own data visualization and analytics infrastructure in collaboration with Data Engineering / IT to ensure data integrity, scalability, and reliability.  Ensure reporting and dashboards (executive-level, product, marketing, operational) are accurate, timely, user-friendly, and visually intuitive.  Translate complex data sets into clear narratives and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.  Establish and enforce data governance, metric definitions, platform / tool standards, and access controls.  Monitor business performance through metrics and KPIs; provide guidance and course-correction as needed.  Stay current on analytics trends, tools, and best practices; recommend investments in analytics / BI platforms and approaches.
