Who You Are : A leader with a passion for God and the spread of His glory in the world looking to mobilize a church filled with people from the nations to play our part in reaching all the nations.

Job Purpose : The Director of Global Outreach is enthusiastically responsible for overseeing how members of MBC individually and collectively are making Jesus known beyond metro Washington, D.C., specifically in places that are less reached by the gospel. This leader will work in close, collaborative partnership with the Radical staff team in the accomplishment of this purpose.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements MBC’s global disciple-making strategy with particular emphasis on places outside of metro Washington, D.C., with the ultimate aim of reaching the least reached with the gospel.
• Oversees the mobilization and equipping of MBC members for involvement in global mission through praying, giving, and going.
• Creates and populates a pipeline for short-term, mid-term, and long-term sending and support of MBC members on mission beyond metro Washington, D.C.
• Builds a network that connects and leverages the unique opportunities MBC members have to spread the gospel among the nations.
• Employs the financial resources of MBC for the strengthening of the church and the spread of the gospel in places of urgent spiritual and physical need beyond metro Washington, D.C.
• Develops partnerships with churches, organizations, and individuals around the world with a particular focus on co-laboring with indigenous brothers and sisters in other places.
• Oversees and supervises Global Outreach staff and volunteer leaders.
• Works in close alignment with the ministry of Radical in all of the above.
• Personally makes disciples of all nations, modeling what zeal for and commitment to global mission looks like in action.
