Position Summary :
The Resident Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery and quality of resident services across multiple Affordable Housing apartment communities throughout San Diego County. This is a dual role in which the ideal candidate will be assigned to a specific project (located in downtown SD), providing services to the residents of that community as well as acting in a supervisory role, overseeing our other service coordinators located throughout San Diego (4-6 staff members).
(This is not a property management position. Our organization works in conjunction with property management to provide onsite Resident Services. We do not provide supportive housing services.)
Key Responsibilities :
Staff Oversight and Leadership :
- Supervise Resident Coordinators at our other properties, including recruitment, training, scheduling, performance management, and professional development.
- Provide regular check-ins, guidance, and support to ensure consistent, high-quality resident services delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact between onsite coordinators and organizational leadership.
Onsite Resident Coordination :
Serve as the primary Resident Coordinator at the assigned property, providing support, resources, and referrals to residents.Plan and implement resident programs, events, and activities to foster community engagement and resident well-being.Maintain positive, professional relationships with residents, property management, and community partners.Compliance and Quality Assurance :
Conduct regular compliance reviews of all properties to ensure adherence to program, contractual, and budget requirements.Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and records in alignment with regulatory standards.Develop and implement systems to monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and resident satisfaction.Subcontracted Project Oversight :
Manage subcontracted service providers, ensuring deliverables and timelines are met.Coordinate with subcontractors to align services with resident and property needs.Monitor performance and provide feedback to ensure quality outcomes.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in resident services, case management, or community engagement.Supervisory experience required; ability to lead and develop a team is a key requirement for this role.Strong knowledge of compliance standards related to affordable housing, nonprofit programs, or social services.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to balance onsite service delivery with oversight of multiple properties.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software (or willingness to learn).Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to multiple sites.Core Competencies :
