Job descriptionBase contract rates start at $18 / hour and can rise for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40 / hour for continued work with the same student. Paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Remote tutoring via our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time. We handle logistics; you invoice for sessions and we process payments.
Overview
The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students nationwide with online SAT Writing and Language tutors. As a tutor on the platform, you set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and impact students’ learning from home.
What We Look For In a Tutor
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
- Expertise in SAT Writing and Language and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
- Preference given to tutors with prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
