Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Design Electrical Engineer opening for our client in Richland, WA.

Location : Richland, WA

Duration : 12 months

Duties :

Perform highly complex electrical engineering analyses and designs in support of operations, systems, programs, inspections, and assessments requiring expertise in engineering methods, analysis, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Work independently with minimal supervision while providing specialized technical guidance and support.

Serve as a technical advisor, offering counsel on assignments with unique engineering requirements that may require innovative or unconventional problem-solving techniques.

Provide technical training and guidance to small groups to resolve complex engineering issues.

Develop new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, and provide interpretation of industry guidance for application.

Identify potential issues in design, quality, or operation and recommend corrective actions.

Support outage activities, which may include working 12-hour shifts as part of 24 / 7 outage coverage.

Skills :

Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, theories, and methods to solve complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses.

Technical expertise in related engineering disciplines and ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments.

Strong ability to provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to other engineering staff.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with individuals across technical and non-technical backgrounds.

Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated ability to participate in industry working groups and represent engineering interests effectively.

Experience :

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and at least seven (7) years of engineering experience;
  • OR a high school diploma and Professional Engineer (PE) license obtained by accredited examination plus eight (8) years of engineering experience;

OR a GED and PE license obtained by accredited examination plus eight (8) years of engineering experience.

Commercial nuclear plant experience .

Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) or Plant Certification is desirable.

PE license desirable (with a four-year bachelor’s degree in engineering).

Experience with diverse engineering assignments is desirable.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (or equivalent as outlined above).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $59.00 to $83.00 / hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
