High School ELA Teacher (9-12)

Working at AAHS as an ELA instructor, you are a passionate lover of literature and composition and are excited to fuel a passion for reading and writing in your students. Every day you open new worlds for your students, teaching them to think critically, to analyze what they read, and to read between the lines to understand the author's intent. You help champions find their voices in the classroom and the world. We believe our champions will be best prepared to succeed in the global aviation and aerospace industry if they are skilled in the art of weighing perspectives, communicating effectively and exploring globally.

On a day-to-day basis, you can look forward to the following :

Curriculum Development and Instruction

• Adapt and execute a rigorous, nationally standards-aligned curriculum.
• Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments.
• Use data to inform instructional decisions.
• Provide champions with daily feedback on performance and plan for individual learning needs.
