Inland Counties Legal Services is seeking a Paralegal to join our Public Benefits Team, specifically for the Housing and Disability Advocacy Project. ICAL provides legal services to vulnerable populations in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, including advice, limited action, and direct representation.
Paralegals will have opportunities to conduct community legal education presentations and attend community resource events, expanding their legal network and engaging with the civil legal aid community.

Work under attorney supervision to accept referrals and contact clients within 72 hoursTravel to client locations, including community and homeless encampments, ensuring safetyAssist clients with applying for benefits, maintaining contact, and developing applicationsRepresent clients in administrative legal proceedings and hearingsConduct outreach and intake activities in the communityObtain and review medical records to support disability benefitsBecome SOAR certified to assist with disability applicationsFollow legal and funder regulations, maintain records, and engage with partnersHandle a caseload based on experience level, with specific case numbers outlinedParticipate in ongoing training and comply with legal education requirementsICLS is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
