Certified CDI Specialist

A company is looking for a Lead - CDI Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Review inpatient and outpatient medical records to ensure accurate documentation and coding

Educate clinical staff on best practices for documentation and collaborate to improve quality

Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in documentation processes and compliance

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree with 7 years or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience as an Inpatient Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist (CDIS)

Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) certification required

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) certification required

Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) certification required

Advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in coding guidelines and documentation practices
