Maintenance Assistant Job Description :

Honey Bee Cleaning Service is a boutique cleaning and building maintenance service company serving the Chicagoland area.

We clean common areas of apartment buildings, apartments, short term rentals, houses and occasionally events. As a growing company we thrive on commitment and opportunities to grow.

Job Responsibilities :

Maintenance Technician will be responsible, under the direct guidance of Manager, for the overall maintenance of the grounds and apartment buildings and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community.

Essential duties include but are not limited to :

Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting.

Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors / cabinets, walls and building exteriors.

Make ready units for move-ins.

Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair or replace HVAC systems.

Responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance.

Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program.

Complete grounds work such as grounds pickups, sweeping, light landscaping, leaf removal, snow removal etc.

Coordinate special projects as directed.

Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around residences or buildings.

Cleans common areas, floors and rooms. including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows.

Job Requirements :

Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, fellow employees and building owners.

Maintenance Technician must have the necessary tools to effectively complete tasks outlined above. One must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative relationships.

Technicians must be able and willing to travel often since properties are scattered throughout the Chicagoland Area.

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

Highly responsible & reliable

Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Reliable Transportation

Mobile Device with cellular data

Must be somewhat agile since sometimes you may have to work on hands and knees.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements :

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Carpentry skills and experience are necessary

HVAC Technician Certification

Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment

Must Have Reliable Transportation
