The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst is an important role to the overall BI team by leading meetings with our top program leaders to ensure accurate and strategic build out of dashboards of critical underwriting reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial P&C business lines as well as a senior level Business Analyst background rooted in BI and delivering top results.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence tools, coupled with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.

This role can work a hybrid schedule in our Avon office or work remotely.

Responsibilities :

Data Analysis and Interpretation :

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business objectives.
• Develop advanced analytical models and algorithms to support business decision-making processes.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.

Reporting and Visualization :

• Design and develop intuitive and insightful reports and dashboards using Paragon's BI tool - Sisense.
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner, enabling informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define reporting requirements and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Data Management and Governance :

• Establish and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
• Manage and optimize data sources, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions to support BI initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in BI and data management.

Strategic Planning and Insights :

• Partner with business leaders to understand their objectives and challenges, and provide strategic insights and recommendations.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions or hypotheses, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
• Contribute to the development of long-term BI strategies and roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.

Team Leadership and Mentoring :

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Lead by example in terms of analytical rigor, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with other BI and IT teams to optimize processes and workflows, driving efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related roles, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights.
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modeling, machine learning, or data mining is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Property / Casualty Insurance data experience is required
