Position Introduction / Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a Network Engineer (Virtualization Specialist) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area.

Key Duties :

• Serve as a Network Engineer - Virtualization Specialist supporting network build-out and deployments to the C2BMC Test Facility in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
• Work on complex assignments and perform a wide range of VMware system administration activities with minimal supervision.
• Provide root-cause analysis for recurring or critical technical issues.
• Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity professionals to maintain a high-quality test environment for the Government customer.
• Perform vulnerability remediation and implement mitigations to reduce cybersecurity risks and ensure compliance with DoD standards.
• Conduct daily system monitoring, system backups, restorations, and application upgrades to maintain optimal system performance.
• Document system changes and actions in designated systems of record to ensure accurate historical tracking per customer and mission requirements.
• Advise the Government customer on system status, optimization efforts, and improvements in alignment with program objectives and design baselines.
• Utilize the REMEDY ticketing system to report, track, and document problem resolution activities throughout the lifecycle of system issues.
