Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer / Detailer for a three month contract role supporting projects in the paper industry. This position involves mechanical engineering and design, detailing, and creating bills of materials for new equipment supply, machine rebuilds, and parts replacement.

Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential , with the ability to produce machinery designs, detailed manufacturing / assembly drawings, and accurate bills of materials for parts and assemblies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Design / Drafting (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, detailing, and bill of materials creation.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, including machine shop operations and assembly.
• Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings.
• Experience with paper manufacturing machinery design or detailing is a plus.
