About The Position

Certifications : ACLS, BCLS, NIH required

Must-Have :

Experience in titration of vasopressors, sedation medication, insulin drips, and care of ventilated patients.

Must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months.

Ability to float within the facility to meet needs.

Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.

Description :

Looking for a registered nurse for a step-down unit.

The position requires caring for patients transitioning out of intensive care.

Patient ratios in the step-down unit are typically 1 : 4.

The role includes management of complex medical conditions and medications, including vasopressors and sedation.

Must have proficiency in arterial line management and care of patients on ventilators.

Experience with chest tubes and trach vented patients is essential.

Demonstrated ability to interpret dysrhythmias is required.

Nurses will provide care for high-acuity patients requiring close monitoring and assessment.

Weekends are required, with two shifts every other weekend.

The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.

Clinical support services will be readily available on the unit.

Candidates should be flexible and adaptable, able to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Must comply with all facility policies and procedures regarding patient care and safety.
