Job Overview :
The VP of Business Development will lead our strategic growth efforts and be responsible for driving revenue through existing client upselling, securing new business deals, and managing key strategic partnerships. This role will oversee the marketing department, lead the sales team, manage VA prospect demos and contracts, and oversee all new business contracts. Additionally, the VP will develop and execute GPO strategies in collaboration with the AVP of Sales and partnership strategies in collaboration with the Marketing Director to drive growth. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a proven track record in healthcare technology sales, strategic planning, and team management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Revenue Growth :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy in collaboration with the Director of Sales to drive revenue growth from existing clients through upselling and cross-selling, as well as acquiring new business deals.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team and cross-functionally to identify opportunities and implement strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Team Leadership :
Oversee the marketing department to ensure effective lead generation and marketing strategies that align with business objectives.Lead and mentor the sales team, with the Director of Sales as a direct report, providing guidance, training, and support to drive individual and team performance.Manage the growth and expansion of the sales and marketing teams as the company scales.Contract Management :
Manage VA prospect demonstrations and contracts, working closely with healthcare organizations to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.Oversee all new business contracts, negotiations, and contract renewals to ensure favorable terms and pricing for the company.Strategic Planning :
Develop and execute strategic plans for business development, sales, and marketing to achieve growth and expansion goals.Identify market trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging opportunities to inform business strategies.GPO and Partnership Strategies :
Develop and execute strategies in collaboration with the Director of Sales to engage and leverage GPOs effectively to expand market reach.Cultivate and manage key strategic partnerships in collaboration with the Marketing Director, with organizations such as Equum and GetWell, driving collaborative opportunities and revenue growth.Performs other related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) :
Proven track record of success in healthcare technology sales, with at least 7-10 years of experience in a leadership role is preferred.Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including knowledge of virtual care and telehealth trends.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve and exceed revenue targets.Proficiency in sales operations, CRM systems, and sales analytics.Experience in contract management and negotiations.Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.Education :
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field.MBA is a plus.
