Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Modeling & Simulation Python Developer / Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in assessing the capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS). This critical role will involve working in a distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environment, contributing to Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities, MDS Ground Test (GT) events, and MDS Flight Test support. The focus will be on hands-on support for MDA\'s distributed software threat simulation, integrating current and future software capabilities into the OSF Framework.

As a Modeling & Simulation Python Developer / Analyst , your duties will include the following, but are not limited to :

• Develop, maintain, and execute Python scripts to support modeling and simulation activities within the HWIL environment.
• Integrate current and future software capabilities into the OSF Framework.
• Contribute to CDI activities, GT events, and Flight Test support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to simulation performance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and analysts to ensure the successful execution of simulation campaigns.
• Develop and implement data management plans for simulation data, including data storage, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata to document simulation data.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data access and analysis.
• Assist in the development of data visualization tools and reports to communicate simulation results effectively.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support their data analysis needs.
