Leidos' Defense Systems, Sensor Systems Analysis & Engineering Portfolio, is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team for electro-optical / infrared (EO / IR) applications. You will join a diverse team of junior-to-senior software developers, engineers, and scientists to help create unique solutions for complex problems.

Our team solves important problems that make a difference and support our customers in the current and future defense of our nation; primarily in (but not limited to) the areas of sensor integration, testing, characterization, modeling, simulation, data analysis, and algorithm development for EO / IR systems.

The ideal developer candidate will also demonstrate experience in and / or enthusiasm toward developing a broader technical capability to support overlapping engineering and scientific disciplines with but a particular focus on writing software to solve problems.

Will support multiple tasks in parallel, productively contribute to a team environment, and communicate effectively to management, coworkers, and customers.

• ?? Primary Responsibilities
• ?Work closely with a team of engineers and scientists to write software (using primarily C++ and Python) to solve problems in a variety of disciplines to include EO / IR sensor systems.
• ?An ability to interface and troubleshoot with hardware via Ethernet, USB, RS-232, high speed I / O, etc. is expected.
• ?Have the ability to work and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team while having familiarity with developing both Windows and Linux OS.
• ?Basic Qualifications
• ?Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in software engineering, computer science, or an equivalent engineering or science degree with relevant software-related experience plus 4-8 years of experience in a related field or Master's degree from an accredited university in software engineering, computer science, or an equivalent engineering or science degree with relevant software-related experience plus 2-6 years of experience in a related field.

Intermediate ability in C++ and Python

Pay Range :

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
