Responsible for processing all new account transactions; assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services. The Account Specialist demonstrates a high degree of accountability while delivering superb customer service. Duties and responsibilities include : greeting all customers immediately, building account relationships by effectively cross selling and referring additional products and services to the appropriate department, knowing the features and benefits for all checking accounts, savings accounts, and more, accurately opening any account with complete documentation, and actively participating in the High Performance Growth program.

About you : qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, customer service and clerical experience, and previous bank experience preferred. Knowledge, skill, and ability to work in a professional manner, effectively sell and cross sell services, follow written and oral instructions, communicate effectively, work well under pressure, and work independently and as an active team member.

Work environment consists of working primarily indoors, working with others, and working around others. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical demands include sitting, using hands in repetitive motions, standing, walking, and lifting or reaching with hands and arms. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
