Description :
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution and delivery of short-term and long-term projects to help Industrial Coatings business achieve its growth strategy. This role reports to the Project Management Office Leader and is a member of the Industrial Coatings Strategic Marketing team. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, manages stakeholder relationships, and uses their strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Project Planning :
o Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
o Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
o Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
2. Team Leadership :
o Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring all members understand their roles and responsibilities.
o Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
o Conduct regular team meetings to monitor progress and address any issues.
o Be an objective voice-of-the-business
3. Budget Management :
o Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
o Monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures as necessary.
4. Risk Management :
o Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
o Monitor and report on project risks and issues, escalating as necessary.
5. Stakeholder Communication :
o Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
o Provide regular updates on project status, including progress, challenges, and changes to scope and / or timelines.
o Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Project Closure :
o Conduct project reviews and document lessons learned.
o Ensure all project documentation is completed and archived appropriately.
o Facilitate the transition of project deliverables to operational teams.
Qualifications :
o Bachelor"s degree with 7+ years relevant experience i.e. product management, project management.
o Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
o Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
o Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
o Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana).
