Senior Video Editor

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Video Editor to join our creative team. The Senior Video Editor edits and maintains editorial standards for various videos, including sizzles, promos, commercial and campaign videos, episodic, short-form narratives, interviews, testimonials, etc.

The Senior Video Editor works independently and in collaboration with a team of producers, editors, and other stakeholders on projects ranging from simple interviews to complex narratives and company / product sizzles with motion graphics.

This person will be hired to support our clients at LinkedIn.

This role will perform work for clients of the Company that continually assess their budgets and their relationship with the Company.

The Company responds to these assessments appropriately when it receives them by adjusting the number of employees necessary to service the clients’ requests.

Responsibilities

• Edit videos of all forms and complexities (i.e., Sizzles, interviews, announcement videos, commercial and campaign videos, short-form narratives, etc.
• based on specs and proposal requests utilizing Premiere Pro;
• Create static and motion graphics utilizing After Effects and other graphical tools and applications (i.e. Photoshop, Cinema4D, Illustrator, etc.);
• Maintain video production schedule and monitor the progress of tasks and multiple projects to ensure content is edited and released in a timely and efficient manner according to the deadlines provided;
• Collaborate and communicate clearly with key stakeholders (producer, director, managers) to ensure successful handoffs throughout the post-production process;
• Perform Quality Assurance check on all completed projects before handoff;
• Have a solid foundation for thinking and working with unconventional editorial structures and non-linear story-telling formats (i.
• e., interviews, narrative live-action courses, short-form documentaries, promos, sizzle reels, etc.);
• Participate in an ongoing process to ensure our video content is delivered at the highest quality and reflects the needs of our customers and
• Utilize Descript and Frame.io and collaborate with the creative team and partners throughout the editing / review process.

Qualifications

• Must have a professional reel of previous work to apply;
• Strong Mac and Windows computer skills, including troubleshooting and basic networking knowledge;
• Must be highly motivated and action-oriented;
• Must have superior project and time management capabilities within a fast-paced, high-productivity environment;
• Must demonstrate strong and fluent editorial techniques through proper timing, pacing, organization, and asset management within a timeline;
• Must have strong storytelling experience with editing and constructing compelling narratives, particularly from long interviews and soundbites;
• Must have a working knowledge of 4K workflow and standards.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional video editing experience utilizing Premiere Pro AND at least 3 years of experience utilizing other post-production applications such as After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, and / or Photoshop;
• Minimum 2 years of experience using audio and video compression techniques, utilizing software such as Adobe’s Media Encoder and / or Apple’s Compressor; and
• Must have experience working with color correction within Premiere and / or color correction tools such as Da Vinci Resolve.

This role is designated as Remote . Remote is defined as doing 100% of your work in a remote location within one of these states : Arizona, California, Maryland, Texas, Virginia, or Washington .

You are not required to be in the office / on-site, and no on-site space is or will be reserved or available for you on a permanent basis at Mighty Media’s or our clients' offices.
