Control Systems Engineer
Job Title : Control Systems Engineer
We are looking for individuals who are also looking to make a difference in their jobs, for our customers and to the world.
We have an opening with our Technical Services team at our Ohio location.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical support of manufacturing units including daily operations and test runs.
- Management of Change (MOC) activities - leading and technical assurance review
- Training and mentoring of instrument inspectors and technicians
- Adherence to control systems engineering standards
- Conduct system audits (alarm, backup, etc.)
- Conduct monthly PSM testing & annual SATs (site acceptance tests)
- Participate in annual PHA's
- Develop scope for and conduct system FAT's (factory acceptance tests)
- Generation of obsolescence plans
- Oversight of engineering design contractors for control systems scope
- Control system support for large capital projects
- Control systems retrofit, DCS upgrade, and re-instrumentation projects
- Development and / or review of project execution documents (DCS configuration database, complex loop descriptions, alarm databases, designs and construction packages, etc.)
- Process loop tuning
Required Skills
- 5-15 years of experience in control / instrumentation in a PSM governed petrochemical facility
- Field instrumentation experience (automated valves, transmitters, etc.)
- ISA & NEC Design Concepts
- Ladder, Function Block and Structured Text Programming concepts
- Process Safety Management (PSM) experience
- Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) experience
- PAS Alarm database

- Batch Programming experience
- Advanced Process Control experience
- DCS, PLC and Safety Systems
