Job Type : Contract – [FULL TIME (40 Hours a week)]

Pay Range : $55.00 / hr-$60.00 / hr

About the Role

Client is seeking a skilled Materials Engineer for a temporary assignment to support ongoing projects in materials science and engineering. This contingent role is ideal for an independent contractor or temporary worker and is not a full-time employment opportunity. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and uphold the highest standards in the development and application of materials for optical components.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and development efforts in materials and interfaces, with a focus on innovative solutions for inkjet printing of ophthalmic lenses.
• Analyze, test, and characterize materials to ensure alignment with project specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to facilitate the integration of new materials into existing processes.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Years of Experience : Materials engineer with 2-4 years of experience in polymer synthesis, formulation development, inkjet printing, and coating processes.

Degrees / Certifications Required : Master's degree or higher in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field at minimum; PhD preferred.
