The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries / hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities
General Purpose : With minimal direction and considerable latitude for independent judgement, the referral coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the referrals made to the Telepsychiatry Department from nursing homes across the state of New York. The referral coordinator adheres to approved protocols for working with referrals and makes decisions that are guided by protocols and practices. The referral coordinator maintains an expert level of understanding of the program and division within the department of Psychiatry. The referral coordinator will work closely with the staff in the Telepsychiatry Program, specifically the Health Project Coordinator and Senior Health Project Coordinator. This position serves as a liaison between the telepsychiatry team and our external customers. May train and serve as a resource to new staff. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent time-management and organizational skills, as well as enthusiasm for supporting our mission to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsible for monitoring own performance on assigned tasks. Self-directed, must make moderate level decisions.
