Raytheon is looking for an experienced Factory Quality Engineer to join the Effectors Operations Quality team supporting a fast-paced, multi-value stream factory. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter capable of driving quality requirements, manufacturing objectives, continuous improvement, and achieving results in a matrixed environment.

This position supports a manufacturing effort that requires the ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic environment where successful quality execution is a key contributor to overall success.

The 2nd shift schedule will start at 2 : 30pm and end at midnight. The position is based in Tucson, AZ and requires onsite presence and does not provide relocation assistance to the Tucson, AZ area.

What You Will Do

• Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies
• Develop strong working relationships with the touch labor, factory leadership, program leadership, and DCMA
• Regular data analysis; development and usage of actionable metrics. Generation and publication of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics.
• Facilitate and lead cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure and leading Corrective Action Boards (CAB)
• Ensure identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) when necessary
• Support work instruction development and maintenance activities by reviewing work instructions, test instructions, auditing processes, and assuring configuration management
• Development and maintenance of inspection instructions, ensuring inspection instructions meet the technical data package requirements and meet production needs
• Development and release of First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102
• Regularly interface with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and internal stakeholders to manage issues
• Conduct weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality and facilitate timely red rack dispositions

The salary range for this role is $82,000 - $164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
