In the Senior Interior Designer role, you will be responsible for the overall management of assigned interiors projects and project teams, as well as business development and marketing efforts, including thought leadership efforts.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Direct interior design staff within project team and assign specific tasks to keep project on track.
  • Work with client and design team to develop interior finishes and / or space planning that compliment the architectural design.
  • Oversees completion of project documents for all phases of assigned projects.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Complete performance appraisals for interior design staff when applicable.
  • Support organizational efforts to retain new clients and / or projects through marketing research, strategic communications, and strategic planning.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties associated with projects as needed or assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in architecture, interior design, or space planning; 10+ years experience
  • NCIDQ certification or actively pursuing NCIDQ certification
  • Proficiency in Revit; Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Thorough knowledge of construction materials and methods including sustainable solutions.
  • Understand appropriate industry technologies and software
  • Accountable for the preparation of contracts and adherence to internal project budgets; works with Accounting to complete monthly billings
  • High level of proficiency in building code as applicable to each project
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills, and effective client relationship skills
  • Strong skills in client communication and presentations
  • Strong client focus with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a diverse project team, including consultants, clients, and internal architectural teams
  • Thorough understanding of and participation in MA's internal QA / QC process
  • Positive attitude in line with MA core values
