Galleria Woods, is recruiting for a full time Dietary Aide morning shifts. 5 : 00-11 : 00, 5 : 30-1 : 30, and 6 : 00-2 : 00.

The position would be off on Tuesday week one, Wednesday week two, and every other weekend. PRN (as needed) morning : 5 : 00-11 : 00, 5 : 30-1 : 30, and 6 : 00-2 : 00.

PRN afternoons : 11 : 30-7 : 30.

You will enjoy a stable work schedule, without the late nights and double shifts.

Pay Rate : $12.50-$13.50

Y our responsibilities :

• Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
• Serves meals in the health center.
• Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal.
• Transport hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
• Transport all required nonfood items to and from the health center.
• Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary condition.
• Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor .

Required skills and qualifications :

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
• Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
• Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
• Requires a good attendance record.
• Prefer Healthcare experience.
