Overview
Kimley-Horn's Reno, Nevada (NV) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Aviation team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction
- Manage project tasks, project design and permitting, construction coordination, and coordinate work with other team members
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects
- Maintain a high degree of quality sets of plans along with checking the work of others
- Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules
- Build meaningful internal and external professional relationships
- Work closely and collaboratively with industry-leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors
Qualifications
4+ years of aviation engineering design experienceProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimatingFamiliarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and Engineering BriefsFamiliarity with pavement design and FAAR Field Design SoftwareStrong desire and passion to engage with clients solving project problems and working with the team to deliverStrong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation experienceAbility to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staffExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesWhy Kimley-Horn?
