Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

The Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist will be an essential member of the RedSail team, who will be responsible for establishing and delivering on high quality standards that enable RedSail to delivery against our quality OKRs, ensuring on-time and error-free software delivery.

This individual will play a critical role in the establishment and continuous improvement of a robust Quality Assurance Program, and will serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert working with the development team, product team and other RedSail departments.

This individual owns the ultimate responsibilty for ensuring products meet functional requirements before they are released to the end user.

Key Duties

  • Establish Quality Standards : Develop and document standards, aligning them with best practices and compliance requirements, that will define the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Strategic Leader and Partner : Act as a thought leader and partner across the RedSail team, working with cross functional stakeholders.

Consistently analyze competitors and the current market to bring enhancement recommendations to the forefront.

Develop Quality Processes and Procedures : Ensure consistent adherence to quality standards enabling efficient and error-fee execution.

Create workflows and frameworks, define clear roles and responsibilities, and identify critical control points throughout product development lifecycle to ensure the Quality Assurance Program and Quality Assurance Specialists are set up for success.

Conduct Quality Assurance Tests : Regularly evaluate code releases to ensure adherence to quality standards are maintained.

Will include manual and automated testing efforts, alongside software compatibility testing and product design reviews. Thorough documentation of testing results with accompanying analysis of defects and errors.

  • Implement Corrected and Preventative Actions : Clearly communicate identified issues for resolution. Work across teams to investigate defects and errors, identifying underlying causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by RedSail Technologies management.

Education / Training

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent degree

Required Work Experience / Skills

  • 5-10+ years working as a quality assurance professional within the healthcare space, leveraging agile methodologies.
  • 5+ years developing and documenting standards, aligning them with best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes and standards, as well as experience with QA testing and validation.
  • Technical skills and comfort with databases, software testing tools, and report generation software.
  • Proven capability to think critically and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Preferred Work Experience / Skills

  • Expert understanding of claims translation and electronic billing of Medicare Part B and D claims.
  • Expert knowledge of UI / UX fundamental design and implementations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physician office and pharmacy claims workflows.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and General Employment Guidelines

  • Moderate or high levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job.
  • Position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs.

Equipment

  • Daily use of the Microsoft Teams (phone), computer, printer, and other routine office equipment.
  • Must have internet access.

Little responsibility for safety of others. Job is performed in an office or at home setting where there are no hazardous materials or equipment.
