About the Role
The Systems Engineer IV will play a key role in building, scaling, and securing client's enterprise infrastructure. This role requires deep technical expertise in systems engineering, infrastructure automation, and network architecture. The engineer will serve as the primary point of contact for designated projects, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, scale, and secure heterogeneous environments within client's enterprise infrastructure (Windows, Windows Server, Linux, virtualization platforms, and applications).
- Apply modern engineering methodologies, including Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) , container orchestration , and software-defined storage .
- Implement systems that are scalable, automated, monitored, and well-documented while training others on operational procedures.
- Conduct incident root-cause analyses across compute, storage, and network layers, implementing resilient solutions for production stability.
- Leverage client's large-scale infrastructure to design efficient systems for enterprise customers.
- Manage project deliverables, support tickets, and cross-team collaboration to ensure timely completion of milestones.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering within enterprise environments.5+ years of experience automating infrastructure management and services.5+ years of experience with configuration and monitoring tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or PowerShell DSC .Strong proficiency in object-oriented or functional programming languages (Python, Ruby, PHP, Rust, Go, PowerShell).Deep understanding of Windows / Windows Server and Linux operating system internals .Experience with Kubernetes , Docker , OpenCue , and / or Slurm .Ability to work autonomously, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and maintain high reliability standards.Comfortable with repetitive tasks and capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.Reliable transportation; able to type 50 WPM.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering , or a related technical discipline.Experience supporting multi-region configuration management environments.Prior experience building PaaS services or internal cloud platforms.API development experience to enhance service administration, management, and monitoring.Strong preference for candidates experienced with Chef .Top 3 Must-Have Skills
Compute with Kubernetes and / or Slurm .Deep understanding of Windows / Windows Server / RHEL internals and Linux systems.Proficiency in Python, Ruby, PHP, Rust, Go, or PowerShell for infrastructure automation.Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable and automated infrastructure solutions.Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and ensure uptime and reliability.Document system configurations and changes thoroughly.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve support tickets and meet project deadlines.Train junior engineers and peers on automation, monitoring, and best practices.Success Metrics

Additionally, qualified candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks, be able to lift 30 lbs, have reliable transportation and type 50 WPM
