Senior Network Security Specialist

SimVentions is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Network Security Specialist to become a key member of our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for all facets of network security, including designing, implementing, configuring, and enforcing security controls for both hardware and software components of network devices. You will work closely with fellow Cybersecurity professionals to enhance our cyber readiness and support system accreditation initiatives.

Important : This position is contingent upon the award of a contract expected in December 2025.

Clearance : An ACTIVE Secret clearance (IT Level II Tier 5 / Special-Sensitive Position) is required. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for classified information access. US Citizenship is necessary for clearance acquisition.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, configure, and enforce network security measures across routers, switches, firewalls, and endpoint devices.
• Maintain enterprise-level Active Directory (AD).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool.
• Configure and secure Cisco networking devices in compliance with DoD policies and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Utilize packet analysis tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and develop effective solutions.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Firewall and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) / Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) for proactive threat analysis and prevention.

Compensation :

The annual compensation range for this position is $110,000-$170,000 (USD), depending on a variety of factors including experience, education, security clearance, and job location within our corporate compensation framework.
