Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and active certifications for a rotating shift assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care nuclear medicine department with 1 functional scanner and a second being installedPerforms cardiac, HIDA, bone scan, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scansUses Siemens Symbia T6, MEDITECH EMR, Fuji Synapse PACS, and NMISRotating 8-hour shifts (typically starting at 7 : 00 AM) with required call and weekend / holiday shiftsFirst to float across Bryan and College Station campuses as neededDepartment-specific orientation is providedAverage of 12 imaging studies per day, including approximately 2 cardiac casesMust perform IV starts and a variety of nuclear medicine studiesBlack scrubs are required for this positionOn-call coverage and floating between specified campuses are requiredRadiologist is available in-house until 5 PM and provides remote reads until midnightCandidates may not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year; PRN work via outside firms is permittedHoliday and weekend shifts are expectedCall outs are strongly discouraged and could result in terminationRequirements
Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in an acute care settingActive state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses not acceptedActive BLS, ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification requiredExperience with IV starts is requiredExperience with MEDITECH EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS preferredCopy of driver's license and two references (one supervisor within the last 12 months, one peer / supervisor within the last 3 years) required for considerationBenefits
