Job Summary

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering department in the completion of process engineering projects following best-in-class practices.

The Engineering Manager will directly execute on and oversee a team of engineers in the execution of, a variety of engineering functions including upgrades to plant design, root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives and management of capital projects.

The Engineering Manager will have direct supervisory responsibility of the process engineers, and report directly to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

The Engineering Manager will support all policies, goals, and objectives of the company while representing the company knowledgeably and professionally.

• Ensures vendors and contractors are qualified to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to retain best-in-class production.
• Power-user of the Distributive Control System (DCS).

• Ensures compliance with safety and environmental programs and

Minimum Requirements

• BS-Engineering; Chemical Engineering preferred
• 8 years of operations experience in a large-scale industrial, continuous process manufacturing environment. Ethanol manufacturing experienceExperience with processing equipment;

evaporators, heat exchangers, centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chiller, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits, and instrumentation

• 5 yrs of capital project management experience; PMP certification
• 3 yrs of experience in a supervisory / leadership
• Proven track record of managing large capital
• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and organizational
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• General knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations for construction and
