The candidate should be a self-starting, tech savvy professional who is comfortable managing a general ledger and subledgers while also possessing the ability to provide excellent customer service to our management team and advisors.

The Revenue Accountant plays a vital role in the day-to-day management of revenue accounting cycles by overseeing all activities involved in maintaining revenue recognition entries and associated assets and liabilities. This position is expected to take a role in the working with the accounting team in completing the processes and tasks required to ensure timely, successful completion of month-end close, completeness and accuracy of financial reports, and adherence to procedures and internal controls, among other duties. Excellent time management, critical thinking, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and diligence to ensure timely completion of tasks are some of the skills required for success in this position. This position works directly with a Senior Revenue Accountant and reports to the Controller.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly revenue close processes to ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and the company's revenue recognition policies.
• Review and reconcile accruals, reversals, invoicing schedules, and account reconciliations to support balances and activity.
• Manage account receivable collections and delinquent accounts.
• Assist with the timely execution and review of month-end close activities, including, but not limited to account reconciliation, analysis, and reporting.
• Participate in the month-end close process, expand and improve policies and procedures for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Support Salesforce and Netsuite financial system integration and enhancement projects, as required.
• Assist with onboarding of new acquisitions into our accounting systems and processes.
• Additional projects and duties as assigned.
• Provide timely and positive customer service by phone and email, with advisors, payors or clients regarding payments issues or discrepancies.
• Respond promptly to advisor requests.
• Resolve questions where possible or submit to another team member for escalation as needed.
• Focus on 100% advisor satisfaction.
