Instructor of Biology
High Point University invites applications for an Instructor of Biology with an expected start date of August 2024. This is a non-tenure track, renewable position.
Responsibilities include teaching introductory and advanced biology courses, developing an upper-level elective course in your area of expertise, advising biology majors, and service to the department, school, and university.
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.
A M.S. in Biology or a closely related field is required, and a Ph.D. in biology or a closely related field is preferred.
ABD would be considered.
The position includes office space in our new state-of-the-art science building, which houses the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience and Physics in the Wanek School of Natural Sciences.
The Biology Department offers majors and minors in Biology and serves the University more broadly by providing courses for the general education and honors curricula.
Biology courses serve as foundational elements of applied and health science degrees at High Point University.
