Front Office - Outpatient Surgery

Responsible for : Under general supervision of the Practice Manager or Front Office Supervisor, assists with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of front office staff activities in the daily operation of patient registration, scheduling, and insurance information collection in a physician's practice; duties require considerable judgment in the application of established office practices and procedures; serves as a role model to other staff members through the demonstration of leadership skills and by sharing knowledge; serves as a preceptor for new non-clinical staff.

Qualifications :

Minimum education required : Associate degree in a related field and two years related experience or High School graduation (GED) and four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum experience required : Associate degree in a related field and two years related experience or High School graduation (GED) and four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum licensure / certification required by law : None.

Additional qualifications : Applicants must possess above average data entry skills. Coder certification desirable.
