Executive Officer (Military)
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer, to serve as the Executive Officer for the group senior ART. The primary purpose of the position is to administer and direct the group's executive support functions and to ensure that day-to-day operations comply with the policies of the senior ART and command. Additionally, it provides training for reservists in the tasks of this position.
Major duties include :
- Serving as the executive advisor on programs and initiatives within the group
- Performing a variety of staff studies concerning group programs and program support effectiveness resulting from regulatory changes, new technology, program / mission changes, recurring requirements, and others
- Representing the senior ART concerning group plans, special events, projects, etc., to communicate senior ART's policies and to explain the interests of the group in regard to local activities or projects
- Managing group resources for executive support, services and activities
- Maintaining oversight of and having overall responsibility for the inspection program as it relates to the group and directing the conduct of inspection activities

To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, MISCELLANEOUS ADMINSTRATION AND PROGRAM SERIES 0301.
Specialized experience includes :
Educating and informing internal and external public concerning the goals, objectives and programs of the Air Force Reserve Wing OR any directly related experience which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.Education alternatives include :
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.LL.M., if related.A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
