As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrols in Des Plaines, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a logistics and distribution location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible to those on site, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the logistics and distribution location.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity or suspicious behavior, adapting to the specific needs of the logistics and distribution environment.

Document observations and report any security-related incidents or hazards through appropriate channels.

Interact with visitors, employees and / or vendors in a professional manner while maintaining a visible presence throughout assigned patrol areas.

Assist with access control and monitoring of entrances and exits according to site-specific guidelines for the logistics and distribution location.

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
